EDGE SIMTEST RUNTIME
The EDGE SimTest Runtime is a light-weight EDGE component that provides demonstration services for any embedded software application that utilizes Nucleus real-time operating system or its huge middleware offerings. Once you have created your embedded application under EDGE SimTest you can package these demonstrations to one executable, runtime file. These runtime package (.RTP) files can be freely distributed and no licenses are required. This approach is an ideal concept for demonstrating and testing purposes, and you don?t need to setup, configure or load anything but you are immediately up and running with the embedded software application.

The Nucleus Point-of-Sale (POS) demonstration is an interactive illustration of a POS application demonstrating dynamic concepts for development purposes. It is comprised of a number of software libraries seamlessly integrated with the Inflexion user interface making it ideal for many of today's devices, providing the ability to change themes. The user interaction with this demo provides the same effect you would get if you were running the demonstration on an actual target system. In this demonstration, you can purchase items in the New Generation Cafe, view Company Information and change the theme color of the application by simply clicking a button.
The POS demonstration is running on SimTest Runtime, so no special hardware or software is required. The only program you need is SimTest Runner.

A datasheet is included to give you an overview of the reference platform, while the technical paper is focused on how to use Nucleus OS Security Services to exploit the encryption hardware available on the PPC8349E to achieve significant performance increases. This reference platform also provides you with a complete system for utilizing and evaluating the performance of the MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, DES, 3DES, CAST-128, Blowfish, and AES encryption algorithms using either pure software or hardware acceleration.
